From the design world, Nico devotes himself to sculpture since the beginnings of 2000 and develops a very personal work, funny and eccentric. His shapes in lacquered resin or acrylic drawings on rice paper evoke the Great Moderns (Arp, Brancusi, Calder,...), reminding the Disney's of Bertrand lavier and could be assimilated, at the same time, to minimalism, pop art, and free figuration. Matrix shapes, geometrical, totemic, interlocked one in the other. His constructions suggest fictional characters, animals, habitats, architectures. They reveal themselves, using the monochrome and dazzling vivid colors: yellow, red, blue, green...

Autodidact, Fernando COSTA or "COSTA" works with salvaged material... yet not any ones: his thing is enamel! He transforms road signs and street signs into mosaics. Two universes mix: one is abstract, and reminds us of Soulages' work, the other is resolutely figurative, and does not lack of humour.

STREICHENBERGER Christophe was born in Paris in 1962. He was introduced to painting at an early age. At the end of his studies, he worked during ten years for the Bank of the picture and since 1993 he dedicated exclusively to painting. His painting combines two aesthetic approaches that could be assumed irreconcilable. One, conceptual, appropriates some of the codes of advertising and fashion photography, geometric figures, empty sidereal, cool colors, the other expressive, organic, carries a current which Francis Bacon, among other, is an accomplishment.

Each photography is an identity card that functions like a story whithin a story, hare and hounds: extremely bright faces and portraits contrast with the dark black background, calling to a double distance look. Afar, they are colored portraits. Closely, the matter in which these portraits are made appears: a multitude of other pictures. For each one, Hervé PERDRIEL sets an intimate portrait, an invisible "ID card" of a character, imaginary or real...

Melik Ouzani worked as a drawer-model maker for industrial companies until 1974, when he discovered graffiti and tags on New York’s streets’walls. Since, He devotes himself to painting and works in a vast industrial studio at Aubervilliers where he develops his “Tronches”(faces) and “Objeux” (Object-games).Allergic to any kind of realism, indifferent to abstract concepts and figuration, obsessed with colour in juxtapositions, he writes and overlays figures and signs of all size with utensils and various supports.Wanting to break up with any known artistic movement, Melik Ouzani accumulates symbols and traces on canvas. His spontaneity reminds us of our childhood, primitive and authentic gestures. His artistic approach consists on divesting himself from any influence or modes of creation in order to find again his innocent child mind, his lost naivety.

His paintings translate the trends of modern life with an analysis close to provocation: the vivid colors glorify the intended message.

Ex-member of "Musulmans Fumants", an emblematic association of Parisian urban art in the 80's and sometimes assimilated with free figuration, Philippe Waty was also the official graphist of the magazine "Actuel" in the same period. His paintings, abstract and colored signs testify of his world-wide influences: Oriental for the written form, Asian for the colors, and Indian for the circular symmetry. His symbolic approach evokes logos, but also primitive shapes. He creates thus, an art that is modern and ancestral at the same time, intimate and universal.

Born in Cahors in 1951, Chamizo is a contemporary artist whose pictorial work is figurative and comes from lettrism; now perceived as an alternative to graffiti and tag art. Chamizo is mostly known to be the creator of what is called lettric abstraction-figuration. His striking paintings criticize the consumerist everyday life from social, political, philosophical and aesthetical points of view. Chamizo synthesizes this everyday experience into suggestive and well recognized symbols. Chamizo is an engaged artist in the post-modern understanding. He condemns an Art market from which artists from developing countries are discarded. Chamizo exhibits his art with the most reckoned artists of his era like Jeff Koons, Arman, Niki de Saint-Phalle, César, Combas, the Di Rosa brothers, Kenny Scharf, Birk Dietman, Erro, Antonio Segui...

A play dream-like work. Fred Bred suggests a stained nostalgic vision of the 50's. Continuing Pop Art's principles, his work is resolutely figurative. It is inspired from mass communication motifs (logos, tag lines, visual identities): a spontaneous approach that deploys itself without any strains in color and shape. Fred bred creates a realm populated with famous characters and products outed from their original context (advertising posters, newspapers, comics,...)
