Antonio Seguí was born on January 11, 1934 in Córdoba (Argentina). At the beginning of his career, he was inspired by artists such as George Grosz or Otto Dix; he devoted himself to expressionist figuration accompanied by a little irony.
Over the course of his career, his figurative painting is transformed into the absurd, depicting a man in motion, in search of his place in the world.
Malice and humor dethroning existential anxiety, he tries to harmonize in his own way the expectations and alienations of a human comedy, sarcastic, falsely naive and sinister.
He uses charcoal, pastel, pencil or pen, where he experiments on a background of urban effervescence, a colorful and graphic world that seems to emerge from the world of comics.
