NEBAY – Street Artist

NEBAY, graffiti artist

Tagger, graffiti artist, NEBAY’s field of action is the urban landscape and the paintings he creates in his studio. Since 1987, he is an active member of the collective JCT (Je Cours Toujours!).

A spontaneous painting

Nebay works both on the streets and in the workshop. His works are made in a very impulsive way, always very colourful with explosions of colours and shapes. He takes his tag “Nebay” in the flops, in the blocks, his tag sometimes appears in an accumulated way.

Close to the current of action painting, a technique dear to Pollock from whom he borrows the famous “dripping”, flops, blocks, accumulations are all techniques used by the artist who takes up his Nebay tag. His canvases offer a striking strength and mastery of chromaticism. NEBAY’s work is charged with a singular and explosive energy.

Optimistic street artist

In 2005 in Paris, he hijacks brands and slogans of advertising posters, especially luxury ones, by taking the path of humour. A street artist above all, Nebay wants to make contemporary art accessible. He presents a simple and effective painting that is understandable by all. In his 2019’s collection, Nebay invites us to discover sublimated hidden messages visible on the canvas from certain angles, using quotations from famous humanist personalities.

The artist’s exhibitions

Through his travels, Nebay has made his mark in different countries such as Russia, Mongolia and China. Both dense and luminous, his paintings are hymns to colour.

Nebay is a permanent artist of the Art Jingle gallery since 2007. A recognized artist of French Street Art, he became in turn a precursor of his generation; his works are now part of major private collections.

A confirmed street artist

The artist Nebay is always invited to the major Parisian street art events; he was one of the artists in Tower 13. He has participated in prestigious auctions. He travels the world to leave his imprint wherever he goes. He created the poster for the 20 km of Paris in 2017.

Hyperactive artist, his tag is constantly spreading on the walls of our cities and galleries.
