French artist Michadu lives in Ploëzal, Brittany. He has been working as an artist since 2005.
Michadu is a self-taught sculptor. His main material of choice is iron. He explores metal with natural simplicity. His imposing works raise questions and often call on the burlesque of existence.
The artist constantly feeds his imagination with everything that surrounds him, materializing all the thoughts that flood his mind in the face of the realities of existence, made up of suffering and joy, revolt and appeasement, depth and lightness…
“I’m just a railroad switchman
And my studio is a transit station
Where works cross paths and ideas telescope
My works are not made to sleep in the beds made for them
They have their own destinations”
Michadu
