Born in 1965, Sylvain Lang lives and works in France. His work is mainly pictorial even if it uses the paths of conceptual art, particularly through video installations.
Like the Impressionists, he painted the Reality and Life.
His realistic work takes us into instantaneous visions of life and everyday. The various subjects of his paintings speak of our time, based primarily on the representation of living (bathing scenes by the sea, crowd in the street) but also everyday objects (Italian coffee, Vespa) are for him contemporary icons. Sylvain Lang appropriates mythical forms embedded in our collective unconscious, moments of universal life. He offers us another interpretation of reality.
